OIFF has already received more than 390 entries from 36 countries including New Zealand, Spain, South Korea, Malaysia, Iran, Turkey, and Singapore. The festival, open to the public, will screen more than 70 independent films from around the world. Over the course of the four days, there will be an opening night premiere gala, filmmaker panels, workshops, a 24-hour film competition and an awards ceremony where thousands of dollars in cash prizes will be awarded to the winning films. II - By invitation: to producers, directors and writers for the remarkable technical and artistic qualities presented in their recent work. III - Independent submissions, if producer or director is of African descent and has won an award, for this or a recent film/video project, at a competitive festival. If your submission has either won an award at a recent film or video festival, and you are either the writer, producer or director on your film/video project, you are invited to complete the submission form available on our website.
